five lesbians eating a quiche

Pensacola Little Theatre proudly presents Five Lesbians Eating a Quiche, a Studio 400 production written by Evan Linder & Andrew Hobgood. The production will run from May 3rd to May 12th, 2024, promising audiences a comedic and liberating journey back to the Cold War era.

In this uproarious comedy, audiences will be transported to the 1950s as they join the Susan B. Anthony Society for the Sisters of Gertrude Stein at their annual Quiche Breakfast. However, when the Communists launch an unexpected attack, secrets are revealed, desires are unleashed, and a craving for quiche takes center stage. Set against the backdrop of the Cold War, Five Lesbians Eating a Quiche is a celebration of freedom, self-discovery, and the power of embracing who you truly are.

NO VIDEO OR PHOTOGRAPHY ALLOWED DURING THE PERFORMANCE.

FIVE LESBIANS EATING A QUICHE is presented by arrangement with Concord Theatricals on behalf of Samuel French, Inc. WWW.CONCORDTHEATRICALS.COM

RENT

June 7-23, 2024 | A Mainstage Production

WRITTEN BY JONATHAN LARSON
DIRECTED BY ARTISTIC DIRECTOR KATHY HOLSWORTH
MUSIC DIRECTED BY GINGER CARO

Set in the East Village of New York City, Rent is about falling in love, finding your voice, and living for today. Winner of the Tony Award for Best Musical and the Pulitzer Prize for Drama, Rent has become a pop cultural phenomenon. With songs that rock and a story that resonates with audiences of all ages.

Based loosely on Puccini's La Boheme, Jonathan Larson's Rent follows a year in the life of a group of impoverished young artists and musicians struggling to survive and create in New York's Lower East Side under the shadow of HIV/AIDS. The physical and emotional complications of the disease pervade the lives of Roger, Mimi, Tom, and Angel. Maureen deals with her chronic infidelity through performance art; her partner, Joanne, wonders if their relationship is worth the trouble. Benny has sold out his Bohemian ideals in exchange for a hefty income and is on the outs with his former friends. Mark, an aspiring filmmaker, feels like an outsider to life in general. How these young bohemians negotiate their dreams, loves and conflicts provides the narrative thread to this groundbreaking musical.

Rent includes strong language and adult themes that may not be appropriate for all audiences.
